The question should be more fundamental
by Sanjay Baxi on Jun 04, 2007 08:55 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

The question is if I am not a Hindu I should or should not be allowed in a Temple or not. Is our GOD so fragile that if a Christian or a Sudra enters the temple, there will be catastrophie. Dont we Hindus believe in Panenthiesm, which is, God exists everywhere and beyond? That means God exist in the body of a christian or anyone, even who does not believes in GOD (I mean Commies). So what is the controversy. I dont care what other major religions think about it, but I as a Hindu, believe that we all are part of God and thus cleansing ceremony is foolish..

No, they have reigned over us because we were not united, because of our caste system, and if you want to survive, you must unite, like the others....

Those who don;t believe in Hinduism, rituals have no business to be in a Hindu Temple.

Its true all over India.

Its true also for Muslims who don;t allow non-Muslims in Makkah.

Neither Catholic Pope will ever go to (say) Westminster Abbey and take part in Church of England rituals. or with Evangelicals. Or vice-versa.

First learn how the religion works. And then talk.

That is wrong, one can be a Hindu even if he does not believe in Rituals. Ritual is only a part of Hinduism. In Hinduism there are several Yogas like Karma, Vakti, Gnan yoga etc. Following one is good enough. Going to temple is part of Vakti yoga, and even I dont believe in I am still a Hindu.

Hinduism is much bigger then you can imagine, first know your religion well, and then preach.

No other religion can be matched with it, it is unique. If you try to match Hinduism with any other religion then you are making a mistake. Hinduism existed much before all the western religion. Hinduism never says that only my god is right and all other Gods are wrong. Hinduism is not one religion, westerners have named it as one religion, for the sake of simplicity.
