I have to commiserate with the minister in his sentiments concerning the lamentable lack of religious tolerance around us. Yet iam sick and tired of people blaming every problem of discrimination on "Brahminical Arrogance". Iam a Brahmin myself and find it offensive and humiliating to be branded on the basios of things beyond my understanding or culpability. The scenario is worse in Tamil nadu, especially Chennai where i am often looked upon as a stranger in my own land. The affiliation i bear to my countyryu and people is often questionmed because of what my forebears probably did generations prior to my birth. Ultimately I feel just as harassed today as the so called "lower castes" did centuries ago. and if thats the situation currently iam not sure it can be called progress of any sort.

Even their father cannot 'finish Brahmins'. If they try they will have to eat ...t.

Your forefathers prevented conversion of these people into christianity, the missionaries took that revenge and created dravidian racism.

They think brahmins have to suffer for their forefather's misdeeds
