Dude, women can even be and are bishops in lot of protestant denominations (head of priests)......yes that is still christianity!!!. Please get your facts right before the world laughs at you.

Dear AWARA uncle.. Are you a fool?Which religion in this world has women priest?Ever seen Woman Maulavi?Ever seen Woman head of Church?I dont know about your religion but am sure it is same. Further have you ever seen Male prostitutes in the history? It is about male dominance in all world societies than religion. Religion has nothing to do with women and men

Sanjay, its a disgrace for India because of you. A women can be a priest in Church. Of course Muslims have restriction on gender. But we are talking about caste here.

Infact women have no right in Islam, they are like slaves. ANd speaking of Christians, here in Toronto , one of the largest school board only accepts students who are Catholic, you can't think of that in India. You go any direction, there is a church every 1-2 kms.But that does not matter to Hindus who are progressive and it's only matter of time when this caste system will be thing of past.

Head of the Methodist church is a women. There is no discremination in Churches as far as I know. Check this out 'http://www.guide2womenleaders.com/bishops.htm'. BTW, has any major temple in India has women priests, let us not include the swamiji's they are dime a dozen...

You are right..But it is not church who have given them this right!For more than 1950years of its history women were denied of this opportunity in Christanity even.It is because of so women liberalisation movement in west that these things are happening. Although it is appreciable! Some temples in india have Dalit Priests! But that doesnot make one religion greater! Every religion has shortcomings! I have never seen a Black POPE in chirstianity's history.If you have please let me know!

Well, The topic is about womens role in religion as leaders, and not which religion is superior. Tell if any mainstream temple has Dalit priests in India? and were we have women as a main preist? BTW, meathodists are a mainstream Church as Guruvayoor temple.
