While a lot noise can be made, there is a difference between the 'brahmanism' and a 'Shuddhi' in a temple. Bramhin is one who knows 'Brahmam'. Temple rituals are meant to maintain the 'Shuddhi' within. It is a belief/practice, that non-Hindus - who are not accustomed to those may not follow this. Not to assume that all Hindus or Brahmins maintain this. But it is a matter of faith. But devotion is far far superior to this even accroding to Hindu scriptures. So if a 'devotee' seeks Darshan we can not deny that. But surely - it can not be a picnic. It is appaling to see that Pandits in Guruvayoor has taken a political view of this - one day saying yes, another day saying and no. And also in a unilateral way without involving all sections of Hindu society.

This is exactly why Swami Vivekananda called Kerala a mental asylum. Using caste sysetm to individuals advantage is not uncommon. Guruvayoor welcomes thief's like Karunakaram and Murali but when it comes to commoners , the standards are very different.
Having Masters and Bachelors degrees does not make one educated. Kerala is a standing proof of this.
