Temples do purification puja whenever they feel that anything not according to customs have happened. These things also happen when infants urinate in temples, somebody whose close relative has died enters the temple etc. All this is according to traditional customs which aims to enhance the power of diety. If Vayalar Ravi doesnt believe in such things, let him not enter the temple. Millions of devotees believe in such customs, let them enter.
