Tanthri - Only abiding by law
by anil shankar on Jun 04, 2007 07:15 PM   Permalink

I think Tanthri is right in what he did. He is abiding by the law that governes the day to day administration of the temple. There are any number of Non-Hindu tourists getting into the temple. Tanthri has done it only when he knew for sure that some known Non-Hindu has entered the temple. Like Judges going by the constitution, Tanthri has to go by the rule book. It is written and he is duty bound to follow what is stated as remedy. One has to see whether rules writtern can be changed and if yes in what way. This cannot happen at Tanthri's level and the ball game is different with peoples belief etc. The respected minister as an individual should not be pained by what is done post his son's entry. God is with him and he should consider that Tanthri has done only his duty.
