Save Hinduism.

It is really unfortunate that somebody has to wait for going to temple. We should leave old concepts behind and allow entry to temple to each and every individual; which ever religion or caste he or she might be. This is the only way we can save our religion.

Yes, a temple is a public place. It is a public park. Let every Tom, Dick and Harry walk into it. Let them do timepass. Let them look at a stone, which is garlanded. Let them see the lamps that are lit there. Let them listen to the strange Sanskrit sounds.

A temple is an entertainment zone. Let everyone go there to while away his time.

"Saving the religion" ::: Our religion is going down, because nobody is really pious and religious in the true sense.

I believe that entry into temples should be restricted even to Hindus. Only those who study Gita and Upanishads, only those who do Yoga, Pranayama and Dhyaana (meditation) should be allowed inside temples to preserve its sanctity. Only then a temple will be useful to others. What is the use of thousands of people going into a building and looking at a stone and throw flowers at it?

A temple has a meaning and purpose behind it. We need to understand it and mould ourselves according to it, not vice-versa. If you want to worship God, you can worship him anywhere, not just in a temple.
