Vayalar Ravi may be making a political strom out of this. After all he is a politican. But what is sad is the way the priests treated his son. This is barbaric. He did not enter the sanctum sactorum of the temple(And what if he did that?). He was just another devotee in the temple. The mindset of the management who rule the temples have to change. Kerala has to take the example of Tamilnadu where anyone can become a priest. Nobody opposed that decision. That shows the maturity of the tamil people over religious issues. Thats why BJP can never break into Tamilnadu.

JK,
Your email stinks of ignorance. In fact, according to our hindu scriptures, there are numerous examples of people who were not born in the brahminical caste but are considered as religious preceptors. Take for example_ Valmiki who was born in an almost caste. Similarly Ramanucharya's guru was from a lower caste but Ramanucharya accepted him as his guru.
Those who have converted to Christianity and have no faith in Hinduism have no business questioning our culture and heritage. This is hindustan not muslimstan or christiansthan. They should not try to change our rules and regulations. If they don't like it, stay at a distance. But they should not hurt the sentiments of hindus in the name of secularism.
The muslims invaded India and converted thousands of people to Islam. They destroyed our temples and raped hindu women. Aurangazeb is a classic example. Yet we have a road named after that a**hole in Delhi. The muslims deplored our caste system although it was scientific. Anybody who was born in a brahmin family could not claim to be a brahmana. One should be a brahmana by action and words.
Then the British came and they tried spread christianity. So today we see so many people converted to all these religions because of these invaders.
The tamil people are just sycophants living under the tyranny of Karunanidhi. They dont know anything about scriptures. Ask anybody to quote the first verse from Bhagavad Gita and they will turn their
