verdict biassed towards Tamilanadu
by Prashant js on Feb 05, 2007 08:55 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

One clear message here Karnataka never said that it will not release water, it is the amount that was the question
questions on the verdic
1)Kaveri runs 318 Km in Karnataka and 315 Km in Tamilaadu and why/what bases Tribnal awarded 419 tmc TN.
2) ineterim order was of 205 tmc to TN then why suddenly increased to 419 tmc
3) so many peoples writes that Karntaka leaves water other states when there in flood only, this is not uniq to Karnataka, for your info. due MH north karnataka faced contineuos flood last year we Kannadiga hardly questionned it
4) the verdict is totaly baissed and KAR has every rights to oppose it ...... we certainly must to that.

Deviating from the above point why such kind baissed verdict against Kar, Politicle reason one can easily glance........
first of all there is totaly wrong concept of MP seat distrubution india based on density....
TN which is having 75% of Kar land posses 40 MP seats as aginst only 28 MP seats in KAR cleary the cutting politicle advantage of TN....
this means that when somewhere in 2019-2020 InidanMP seat is going to be revised KAR sholud increase it's population doble than the TN polpulation to gain same MP seats... how foolish system oneside we say "Population control" and anotherside such foolish rules which encourages popultaion...

whatever it may be ..... Karnataka should question this verdict in Suprem court... and taking more hard decission KAR shoul question tribunals biass towards TN....

happy surfing......

Regards,
Prashant JS

Pls read the verdict gain. 419tmc include the cauvery catchment in TN also. In reality it is closer to 205tmc.

Prashant,
There are few facts. I honestly believe, court is still not much affected by petty politics. U may have difference of opinion with the verdect, but coloring it is not right.
2. All souther state chief ministers, headed by then AP chief minister Chandra Babu Naidu requested central governement to stop re-drawing MP seats based on the population. The population growth is very less in souther states than northern ones. South- states argued that they will loose the seats; it is a punishment for controling the population.

It is a fact. U can search in google to get the news items.

- I hope i show the mirror. U can see your face now.
- Regards
Sundar

My Dear Educated brothers and sisters, please go through the statistics..Karnataka is only going to release additional 12 tmc nothing more ..so please understand the figures first.
Politicians only wants to gain a mileage pl understand details of verdict before becoming violent on media publications.
Total water generated by cauvery in karnataka on average rain fall - 462 TMC.
In this karnataka share - 270 TMC - 58.44%
TN share - 182 TMC - 39.45%
To sea - 10 TMC - 2.1%
Total water generated by cauvery in Tamilnadu.on average rain fall - 270TMC
TN share - 237 TMC -87.1%
Kerala - 30 TMC -11.1%
Pondicherry - 7 TMC - 1.2%
Sea - 3 TMC - 0.6%
WATER FROM TN CAUVERY BELT DOES NOT FLOW IN REVERSE DIRECTION TO KARNATAKA.

Please understand and dont go by big figures(419TMC) of TN(as the more water to it is got from its own catchment).

Here a balance is drawn to utilise water more resourcefully for agriculture.
