I agree. Hajj is an individual responsibility. That is an ISLAMIC view. If you cannot afford it, it not an obligation.
The government has no business in giving Hajj subsidies. Muslims ought to reject Hajj subsidies.

Sami, Taking money for Hajj from the government is against the tenents of Islam.
Hajj is obligatory ONLY if one can afford it. We should not take money from the government. And here is one thing that I am confident of, If we let the private sector organize Hajj travel, it will be much CHEAPER than what you pay today even with the subsidy.

imran...I appreciate your thoughts...its not an issue of money here...I hate congress for its appeasement and if you promise me to keep congress away I will also promise you that I will not support any riots etc

Thanks..Haj itna mehanga nahi hota..Government ki subsidy Air India ke liye hai..jise khali jahaz vaapas bhejne padte hain..Muslims have asked so many times not to provide them (or Air India) with this subsidy but they continue to provide..
