These Communist friends of India
by Guru Murthy on Aug 19, 2007 04:23 PM   Permalink

The indian leftist parties have acted against the interests of Indian society and India at all times. The following are noteworthy.

a)British rule was preferred to independence. No secret about that.

b) Have always tried a Russia/ China type revolution, in spite of knowing that Indian society, where exploitation of the magnitude found in those countries were/are are non existent and hence such an effort would never succeed.

c) In spite of knowing that freeing labour from unionism would increase total employment (like it has happened in China), the left has been a staunch opponent of labour market liberalisation. With the result majority dont get jobs, and a small section will continue to enjoy -"No work all pay" situation.

d) Shri Namboodripad, a long time ideologue opined that Shankaracharya did a wrong to our society. His logic was that if the sage were not to rescue Hinduism from the onslaught of others, the religion would have died its own death. Leftists see Hinduism as their main enemy. Can we have a public debate on the current labour market practices in China and India please.

e) In spite of Government of India sponsoring a visit of a large number of Communist MPs to China on a study tour, no report of the current status of affairs in China is publicised by Yechury, Kharat and the like.
