What they lack is the leadership - men and women with a strong back bone and intestinal fortitude who can lead us to battle - and tell us to stand strong
And this embarrassing trend has been true for more than a millenia. How many battles have the armies of India won against invading marauders from Khyber Pass - or those European Traders from far across the ocean.
With very few exceptions (ie. Shivaji, Tipu Sultan, Lakshmi Bai etc.), our kings and generals in the past, and our politicians in the present, have been thoroughly incompetent at everything except filling their own treauries and bank accounts.
And when Indians found proper training and leadership under the British, Indian Soldiers became the tip of the spear - winning victories for our masters in far flung places - and being awarded the second highest number of Victoria Crosses in the Empire.
What we need is the Warrior Spirit back in us. Tell us all, that there is one one Caste - Kshatriya... There is only one religion - the One that Leads to God - what ever way it may take... and there is only one people - Indian...
