Time and again Thakur Arjun Singh has tried his best to show that he is a force to reckon with in the congress, but unfortunately has never had many supporters. This time round he has donned the mantle of a `messiah of minorities' and a `yes man of left parties,. His statements criticising the RSS have done more harm than good.In true Bhau saheb style he says' RSS se maafi mangne ka sawal hi paida nahi hota'.His so called `detox' exercise has left him with egg on his face, as not an iota of saffronisation has been found in the NCERT history texts. The media which was earlier gunning for his predecessor MM Joshi has now taken a U-turn and started crticising Singh's arbitary actions.His efforts to project himself as the most hardworking Minister in the UPA Govt. have been counterproductive. He now has to issue press statements to the effect that he is not running after the PM's gaddi. Only time will tell whether arjun singh turns out be a boon or curse for the UPA Govt.
