This peice is really informative. like me, countless of otheres were in the impression that the legendary guru dutt was from bengal.anyways from whereever he was , he truly was a great actor and d irector, forget caste or creed.

No doubt. His movies are considered to be text book classics in film making. He was one of the first one to extensively use 100mm, 75mm telephoto lens for close up shot which blurred the background and capturing the expression of the actor in sharp focus. This technique came to be known as --Guru Dutt Shot-- in the film industry. Unfortunately this dimwit writer chose to highlight is caste rather than his achievement. Apparently rediff hires cheap journalists and if you need to seek information do not refer to rediff.Here you will find article on Best body in Bollywood or racist article like above.
