The way the film is directed is good. Since, the story is same old one its just a Old wine in a new bottle. And people who knows abt it still watching n critizing. And what they say for people who are remaking block-buster Telugu movies..

I watched Billa yesterday. Pokkiri I have no idea why it ran so well but this one except for its splendid visuals, nothing in it.
Billa is not disappointing. It is disgusting. I wonder how many dons in recent days go and exchange "potti's" directly with their customers. Exchange of potti means the director is highlighting that Billa is into narcotics, he is a smuggler ?! Come on man. There is no scope for anyone to perform in this film. The film literally fails at the start when Prabhu informs the other officer "I like Billa becoz he is intelligent".
I also wonder when they are going to improve with this username/password things. Nayanthara is totally useless. The introduction scene of her is the biggest comedy in Tamil cinema in recent times.
Everyone is in a designer wear, Rayban sunglasses (even in night), Ferrari cars and the women are dressed very less.
Billa Biryani is looking rich and spicy but it has no taste in it. Whats the point in eating it ?
Ajit has proved once again he is not good in picking scripts.

Good observation. Still ended in picking only negative points of the film. It has few defects logically. Still, it is a good entertainer. Especially for Thala fans.
Note: Running successfully in all the theatres especially Sathyam.

I watched it in PVR and it was fullhouse even for a night show but obviously when people come out during the interval, they were disappointed and some made rude comments abt the film.
No one can deny that the film is a hit but the worry is it cud have been made better. VV definitely shud have done some tinkering to the story and researched more by going through a Tarantino or Scorcese or Copolla film and Billa cud have been the greatest tamil film in recent years.
Lots of looseners. Everyone say Ajit "performed" well. Walking for a theme music and turning head here and there is not acting at all. Acting is just reacting. Atleast he shud have done some voice modulation for both characters.
To show Billa is a hardcore criminal, he need not kill everyone. Then a guy who cuts chicken and cooks it is also a criminal. A scene like the one is Godfather when Jack Woltz wakes up to find the bloody severed head of his prize horse in the bed with him.
Neither Vijay nor Ajit are going to act in a monumental film. That is for sure becoz they are not ready to work hard and always want to be in the safer side and do masalas and remakes only. Ajit easily cud have done Autograph and Ghajini and he missed it.

I just dont understand it. this Pongal vijay acted in pokiri which was a remake of telugu one. Infact it was a scene by scene remake. they even used the same fight sequences and dole dole than was just a mere translation from telugu version. Infact vijay even used the same acting style as of mahesh babu(even the dialogue delivery was the same.). Then even used the same costume style(double shirts) But rediff said pokiri was excellent and vijay was very good. But ajith's billa is pretty good. It was technically sound and visually stunning. The way the film was executed is totally different, But they are saying billa dissapoints and ajith imitated the velu character from the original. Does any of this make any sense at all to u. I am terribly confused. I publicly ask the reviewer(if he has guts) to tell me what he found in pokkiri(remake) that was not in billa(remake).
I would also like to add that i am a kamal fan but i like vijay as much as ajith
