Looks like author is not sure of clear idea on whether to buy or wait. In the end views are not firm.

The prospective buyer will be in debt trap even if the interest rates are at the lowest level. It is good if you want to buy for staying but as an investment it is a very bad proposition.OSKamalapurkar Gulbarga

Flip flops are motivated in many cases... journalists are paid by vested interests to place articles such as this. It is not dissimilar to the spate of articles in ET, BS, FE, etc. which urge small investors to sink in whatever they are left with in dud stocks which are going to plunge even further. Even the most optimistic analyst in USA is not saying we are at the bottom of the recession. All forecasts are saying we will have the worst year on recrd. It will be downright foolish to sink in hard earned money at today's prices...

What you say is true. I have been going through many such international forums, and every where it is only one opinion that 2009 will be a disaster. One has to be holding on to his cash to be safe.
