less than 1 lakh p.a. - 10% 1 lakh to 2 lakh - 50% 2 lakh to 3 lakh - 65% 3 lakh to 4 lakh - 75% ... basically no matter what you earn, post tax amount would be same

This is the most stupid suggestion in years...
And I have understood that you are the sub 1 lakh category and are jealous of people earning more...
In fact I feel taxes are fine the way they are - infact slightly on the high side...
What needs to be done is by the Government to take active steps to step up alternate fuel, encourage by subsidies and tax cuts - usage of cars like Reva (done in Bangalore) so that the dependence on Crude is less...
We should use solar power to harness most of the basic heating / lighting per house - though as an initial investment it is expensive, on a long term this is the only solution

First learn to read the mail properly on what i was saying. This is worst response i have seen to a mail where i was commie-bashing. And by the way i am surely much more qualified and higher salaried than you who can't even read and jump to conclusions.
