Why support from Govt
by Ragunath on Sep 04, 2008 10:39 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Why should the govt acquire land and pass on to business houses. All the corporates are sitting on heap of money. Industries are well developed. They do not need any support from Gvot. Let them spend on acquiring the land directly. Govt should buy only barren land for the purpose of industrialisation. The concept of SEZ and industrailisation have been misunderstood. In China an industrail zone will comprise of 30,000 acres with forex revenue potentials. In India it is a real estate scam. Even one rupee forex qualifies for SEZ status. Even 10 acres can be called SEZ. WB govt and so many other govts are buying into the corporates plans (which in turn support the elections). Nobody has the right to take away the land forcefully. Mamta is right in her approach. Perhaps she can be considerate to Tata group which is the most transparent and employees friendly and respected corporate group. Look at Jamshedpur. COnsidering the corporate ehtics of Tata Mamta should reconsider her decision. She should definitely oppose reliance and other corporate groups whos contirubution to the society is insignificant rather pittance compared to the benefits they got from the society through all means.

1. This land grabbing is a scam.
2. Tata has invested 70,000- crores in eastern India but only 140 cores in west Bengal in the last 140 years since 1868. Has Bengal starved due to that?
3. Tata has not made a difference to the adivasis of Jamshedpur. They are a exploited lot till today.
4. If TATA HAD NOT BEEN GIVEN INCENTIVES WHICH ARE UNTHINKABLE FOR OTHER STATES THEN THEY WOULD NOT HAVE COME TO BENGAL. HOW MUCH OF OUR MONEY HAS tHE WEST BENGAL GOVT GIVEN AWAY TO THE TATAS THAT WE OUGHT TO KNOW. TILL NOW IT SEEMS NOTHING LESS THAN A FEW THOUSAND CRORES.
4. WITH ONE CRORE INVESTMENT IN A SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISE EMPLOYMENT OF AT LEAST 30 PEOPLE CAN BE DONE.
WITH 4000 CRORES INCENTIVE TO SMES ANOTHER 8000 CRORES INVESTMENT COULD HAVE COME. AND HENCE ABOUT 3,60,000 JOBS COULD HAVE BEEN CREATED.
5. THE POLITICAL PARTY RESPONSIBLE FOR GIVING SUCH BONANZA TO THE TATAS SHOULD BE ANSWERABLE IN A COURT OF LAW.
6. THE TATAS ARE NOT GOING TO MNF ANY CAR HERE IN SINGUR IT WILL ONLY BE A ASSEMBLY LINE OF PARTS MADE FROM OTHER LOCATIONS AND SOME ANCILLARIES IN SINGUR.
6. WHY SO MUCH EXTRA LAND HAS BEEN TAKEN?

7. THE JINDALS HAVE NOT MADE A FUSS ABOUT THEIR MUCH GREATER INVESTMENT IN COMPARISON TO THE TATAS. THEIR PLANT AT SALBONI WILL DEVELOP THE SOCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE OF SALBONI,- ADIVASIS AND TRIBALS WILL BENEFIT, WHICH DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING. THE TATAS WILL NOT DEVELOP OR HAVE DEVELOPED ANY INFRASTRUCTURE AT SINGUR. IT IS THE W.B. GOVT WHO HAVE USED OUR MONEY TO GIVE FREE ACCESS

Mamta is right in her approach, she only asked to return the land to the owner who are still today not accept the cheque from the govt. as my opinion Tata Motor can easily short out this problem just increase of Rs.10000/- per car for a year. as per report from singur they will produce 250000 car. Now this money they can directly distribute among these 1000 acre land owner and permanent employment for a one person from each family with a bond that the fellow must look after his parents as well as his brother and sister.
