I think government wants to create more universities

which have the same facilities as IIT's , which is good. In fact standards need to be improved in all

colleges. The point is that IIT's have a class and

reputation not because of the infrastructure or facilities but mainly because of the quality of students.

Best students in the country compete thru IIT-JEE for

admission and unless there are enough students qualifying the exam to fill in 11 IIT's this will lower the standard rather than increasing.

its great that government is increasing the number of IIT but what about the primary and secondary schools in the villages where in many schools dont have proper rooms and toileting facilities for students.Primary and secondary educational facilities are the need of the hour..
