hi all, do we think just increasing the number will do a miracle? IITs are famous for the quality as the brains have to pass the fierce competition of getting admission to the premier institute. Increase in number will dilute the competition and in turn the quality.
MIT is considered one of the best institute in the world because it is the only one. do we think increased number of MITs would have had the same respect?
Think about IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee. some students prefer some RECs then getting into these institutes. so mere IIT tag will not do any miracle, it has to be upto the standard.
