anyhow the outcome of marriage depends on the nature of the girl. it doesn't depend on whether or not you take dowry. if the girl is good she won't deal you badly bcoz you took dowry from her parents and if the girl is bad she will definitely deal you badly even if you don't take a single money from her family.
