10 Mar 2009 is Full Moon Day, Holi (of North India) and Kaamana Hunnime of Karnataka. Most of you are aware that Kaama (Manmatha), son of Lord Vishnu is the God of Love. Personally I support any festival as long as all of us remember not to forget our own traditions. 14 Feb 2008 is Valentine's Day, supposedly the imported version of Lovers' Day. While each one is free to observe any festival of his/her choice in the manner he/she likes, my request to all of you is to encourage the original festival, that is Holi/Kaamana Hunnime and observe it with all fervour, fun and gaiety.
