SRK, you blew it up
by Avinash Kadam on Apr 29, 2009 06:45 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

was aghast when SRK said in an interview on a TV channel, “let me be humble, but I am the main attraction of not only KKR but the entire IPL”. This guy thinks he owns the cricketing world and the millions of cricket lovers. Sorry SRK, I wouldn’t take it even as a joke. Agreed that you are one of the best entertainers on the screen and you are good at your work. But, by no means have the cricket lovers watched the IPL matches just to take a look at you. You are forgetting SRK, this is cricket and not film. This is not a studio or a theatre. This is cricketing arena, showcasing the greatest of the talent. Spectators are enthralled by real action and not by make to believe world of cinema.

Gavaskar expressed his opinion on the multi captain theory and the high profile coach; many players did. You taunted Gavaskar, “buy a team and manage the way he wants”. So much of inflated ego, so much of false pride? SRK, I dare you…taunt Mukesh Ambani or Vijay Mallya. Leave aside buying more teams or the entire IPL, they can buy you SRK.

SRK, I still can’t believe that in the world of cricket, some one like Sourav Ganguly is being belted by a cricketing moron like you. Thanks to the waywardly insane coach and your fool-hardy support to him, the debacle is happening right under your nose.

WELL SAID MAN, SRK's time is over in Cricket as well as in Film Industry. He will realise when people will stop going to theatres to watch his mindless and foolish movies.

Wow, whatta correct, candid and clear expression AVINASH, and for the 1st time in my Rediff blogging, I find your words to b really so close to my own opinion.
Inspite of being parentless, SRK single-handedly struggled from the scratch and reached in the filmdom where he is today. But it seems, success has gone into his head. In last year's IPL, he had been questioned by IPL authorities for having spent time in other team's dug-out and he wasted no time to counter-challenge IPL to stop him from what he felt doing right.
SRK challenging the legendary Mr. Gavaskar on cricket is like challenging Lata Mangeshkar on music knowledge.
SRK is yet to mature a lot; at 43 he behaves like a school going brat crying for chocolates. His asking Gavaskar to buy out a team is so much disrespectful. Its a clear case of talking money over knowledge and skills.
Its high time SRK is tamed and calmed down b4 the anger of people, especially Kolkattans consumes him for the good.
