Australia, England, NZ, WI on decline
by S Shrikanth on Jan 01, 2009 11:16 PM   Permalink

Cricket in these 4 countries has been fast losing its popularity and young sportsmen in these countries have been chosing other cash rich sports. So, cricketers in these countries would be losers in future. The loss of Australia to India in SA recently was scripted much back as Australia has not been able to find a world class player in the last 5 years. NZ has bee struggling with oldies in the team. Decline of cricket in England and WI started 2 decades ago and they are in poor condition. Since they have 4-5 other powerful sports which give better earning than cricket, sportspersons are not likely to be attracted towards cricket.

Contrary to this Cricket is No. 1 in India, Pak, SL and Bangladesh. In fact this is the only game played in these countries which public likes.

So, in future Cricket is most likely to shrink in Indian subcontinent SA.
