It's about time

Finally Ganguly is going. Well, am sad that he has to retire, but he had to go sometime. It is high time Yuvraj is given a run of at least 10-15 tests. I think VVSLaxman's performance must be judged in this series and if he doesnt come up with a good performance, he should be given the boot too. We have Badrinath and Rohit Sharma who are more than capable players. When will they ever get a chance to play at the test level. I guess Rahul Dravid and Sachin can hang on for another couple of years. But BCCI must plan for their succession.
The new batting fab 4 will be Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvraj and Dhoni, with Rohit and Badrinath being the backbone.

Yuvraj is the most over rated player in India. He can never succeed in tests , players like Raina , Rohit Sharma , Badrinath and Mohd Kaif have better hopes. Also , if Dhoni wasnt such a celebrity now, Parthiv Patel would have been in the team for the current series because of batting and keeping in longer version of game. Sehwag is the last of the great indian batsmen.

You cannot make fab four overnight.
Sachin In both forms( 16000 12000 Runs)
Dravid in Tests (10000 runs)
Saurav in One day (11000 runs)
Laxman in Tests (6000 rus).

In this category only Sehwag fits in both form. Dhoni is wktkeeper batsmen. Yuv raj fits in oneday variety only. After that Gambhir, Rohit, Badrinath & Virat has to prove themselves before even thinking of Fab four.
