Mr Ganguly, I really admire the decision that you have made and I think it has come at a perfect time. After that lean patch in between during which you were disgraced, you fought back and fought back in style by silencing all your critics last year. It was the best year of your career with a maiden double century against Pak to top it off. Dont worry about the one bad series against Sri Lanka... not one Indian batsman could stand the Mendis test. We have forgotten that already, Mr Ganguly. I hope you perform well against the Aussies and retire from the game gracefully and still at your peak.Yes, your peak is already way beyond you, but as they say the candle is at its brightest just before it goes out, I hope you leave the game just in the same way. You have been a great ambassador to India's cricket fraternity and the BEST CAPTAIN that India has ever produced. May your legend remain forever in the history of Indian cricket. All the best !!!

I agree with you. I will really miss his batting and most importantly, the never say die attitude and the courage to give back in equal measure to the opponents that he inculcated in his bunch of youngsters. But for the brief period of ego taking over during Greg Chapell's time, Saurav has been in my book of admiration at the top.
