Ability Form = Success

Obviously the team has been selected on "other" criterion. Its great to have youngsters in the side, but based on both current form and past record, Ganguly should have made it...

Hayden, Ponting, Jayasuriya are all past 30, yet make it by virtue of performance. Ganguly has done just that. If even then he gets dropped, then it is obviously for non-cricketing reasons.

what current form you were talking about? How much he scored recently? Its not only batting, Fielding, Running between the wickets, athletic nature also places a lot of significance when selecting a team in ODIs. For me, selectors did a wonderful job in selecting this team. Its the best they can do based on the current form.

wht is dada's form? his t20 batting avg is 25.92 with strike rate of 110. Is this great by any yardstick? He is doing well in tests, he should continue there till he can contribute and tehn take retirement else will face ignonimity of being thrown out of the side and tht wud be sad

Gangulydeserved to be in the team - whether one decides on current form OR ability OR experience. He does not get in simply because some of the selectors do not want to choose him. His non-selection becomes even more unusual when one realises than Sachin unavailable as Gangulyat thetop of the order with Sehwag would be a super combo and followed by Gambhir.
