Why India Lost...!!!!
by bhanu prakash on Feb 12, 2008 11:32 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

indians now a days are also doing good job in the field..they made a good score today..if not so good but atleast competitive enough...
The reasons we lost today are :
03 overs of sreesanth costs 48 runs
19 Extras in a total of 154
Which leaves effectively 87 to be scored in 18 overs and i think Duleep Trophy's worst team even would have made it...instead of srilanka..so who are you blaming Mr.Dhoni..and u praise the bowling was not so bad today..hahahaha better be a captain of circus team ..logo ko hasane k kaam toh aaoge

This is not the first time that Sreesanth is way too expensive. Even in T20 he gave 20 runs in one over to Imran Nazir. He seems to use his emotions than brains and gets carried away and behaves like a spoilt child. Does he not know that he should not provide any width to Jayasuriya? How come Jayasuriya was unable to hit Ishant Sharma so easily? Sreesanth bowls well in 1 out of 5 games and he did his part against Aus in last game, so for next 4 games he can be wayard. He should be kicked out of the team when RP Singh returns. He can then show his antics somewhere else.

Hey CricFan of the 01 variety.
It was a high scoring match.
SL batsmen were taking risks and they paid off.
Which of these two statements is false?
If any of those shots were miscued, of which there was every chance, SL would have toppled like a pack of cards.
Period.
Stop this micro analysis, and enjoy the future matches.

Mr Indian, I know truth hurts but if you dont accept it then so be it.There is no micro analysis, anyone can notice what is told above. Let this guy first learn to perform consistently and then brag.

Nice stats. 87 in 18 overs. Thats 4.84 runs per over. If Sri Lanka didn't score that with 8 wickets left it would be a huge miracle or stupidity on their part.
48 runs in 3 overs is just not acceptable by any front line bowler. Sreesanth needs to calm down and be intelligent. Try not to bowl to the oppositions strengths. 19 extras in 19 overs. Thats like 50 extras in 50 overs. Please stop the extras. Terrible performance. India does not give attention to details. Details are what give the Aussies the edge and make them the best.

You are right. India played very well. They played it like a Mini ODI. The had no idea SL will get to play it like 20/20. SL were very lucky and took the chance. Jayasurya who is great hitter did the miracle. Sreesanth is the culprit. He gave away too many runs. Otherwise Dhoni as a captain did great. Average of 6.5 runs in a over in the morning when there was swing is a great score. People please learn to appreciate good game. SL won because they really performed miracle. It was a thriller.

I thought Sri Lankans were unlucky to not get 29 overs else, they would have blundgeoned srisanth and ishant for over boundaries. saved their souls.
