Dear Mr. Sharma , I want to bring to your knowledge that father of shri Rajiv (& husband of Mrs. Indira gandhi ) was Mr. Firoz khan , who was not bearing any gandhi surname . Initially this marriage was not acceptable to nehru family ( i.e. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru ) , Hence Mahatma Gandhi interfered and advised/gave to use his surname .-----by T.L.SAHU Hyderabad A.P.
