You are absolutely right that we (incl. yourself) must never forget that India was ruled by Mughals.
The majority Hindus are still being very tolerant to discrimination that happends to them. Here are some of the reasons why: 1) It's not muslim individual creating problem, but opportunist playing the communal card. 2) Mullahs want stupid followers to continue supporting them blindly. Hence they only ask for religious favour for muslim community. They never ask for education for the muslims. Unless muslim community becomes educated they will remain GULAM of these mullahs. 3) Majority of muslims in and around India were originally Hindus. Their fore-mothers were originally hindus, were raped and converted to muslims. So in reality many muslims (incl. you) are not real muslims. Hence today's Hindus are being tolerant towards you. Inside they know that you are one of us. Anyways these is a long discussion. This is enough for now.
