TOTAL MISMANAGEMENT
by Vishwamitra Singh on Jan 25, 2008 05:56 AM

There is no shortage of officers in Indian Army. It is total mismanagement for which 50% blame must go to the Army and 50% to the Govt of India. Instead of wholistic approach a piecemeal quickfix methods are adopted.
Whenever pay commission announcements are near, Indian Army start making calibrated noise to get better pay and perks. But beaurocrates in pay commission and in Govt are too shrewd to be carried away by this shrill noise. People in Armed forces dont know how to get a overall better bargain because it only the top brass who bargain for their betterment. Poor fighters remain unrepresented.
Armed forces are too serious a matter to be left only to generals and beaurocrates. The political bosses should pay due attention to national administration including armed forces.
