Punjab is the homeland of the Punjabis
Gujarat is the homeland of the Gujaratis
Maharashtra is the homeland of the Marathis
Orissa is the homeland of the Oriyas
Karnataka is the homeland of the Kannadigas
Andhra PRadesh is the homeland of the Telugus
Kerala is the homeland of the Malayalis

Tamil Nadu is the homeland of the Tamils

and

Sri Lanka is the homeland of the Sinhalese
