RE:What if we are away from families?
by ACM on Feb 15, 2008 07:46 AM

Extremely well said. I used to work in India - like a mad dog. Then I moved to the US temporarily and I couldn't imagine my luck. The freedom and time was so enjoyable but after a couple of years, I started missing India terribly and couldn't wait to return. Then for a couple of years, life was a drudgery. Loads of work, traffic jams and coming back home by 8-9PM for not even a "great" compensation. Then I packed my bags and moved back for good. Here, my life revolves around the Indian community. Decent life at work and a great life after work with the family. I do my bit for the local Indian temple. I still miss India and feel the pangs to return every once in a while but I doubt I will be ever be able to. Not the best option this place but certainly better than life in India.
