Double standards of CPI(M)
by VASUDEVAN V on Nov 23, 2007 01:48 PM

After the Gujarat riots, the CPI(M)Government gave shelter to a muslim affected in the riots, who became famous after his photo with folded hands pleading for mercy appeared in all the leading dailies and magazine, saying that West Bengal is a safe haven for all Muslims. That this person has now returned back to Gujarat is a different story. However, the very same communists have failed to protect Taslima, a Muslim and a woman, and have hounded her out of West Bengal. After this, the communists have no right to talk about secularism, safety of minorities and such other subjects. In fact, the communist ruled West Bengal is the most dangerous place in India right now to all else except the communists!
