Temple Entry
by hosur narasiah ramakrishna on Jun 04, 2007 07:18 PM

Sir

Hindu temples over the years have evolved their own practices and traditions. If for some reason you are not happy with the customs you do not have to visit it. Where is brahminical arrogance in this. Why only Hindu tmeples are the subject matter of reformation. Recently the grand Mufti of Kashmir issued a fatwa prohibiting non muslims from bulding mosques as the army wanted to do so as part of the Sadbhavana operation. Has the governement considered this arrogance of the Mufti or the Imams. Respect the tradtions of the religious isntitutions and leave them alone. If they are practising gross human rights violations maybe it is a case for reformation. Otherwide the tmeples have susrvivied with or without our social do gooders.
