RE:'It is Brahminical arrogance'
by seshasayee on Jun 04, 2007 08:46 PM

For many years it has been common among politicians, from the so called Rational Thinkers of Tamil Nadu to use "Brahminical" in derogotary sense. Can one imagine tax payers money is used to produce a movie on "Hindu (belief) bashing". Yet the govt. will have a minister for Hindu Endowments and claim that they are "rational thinkers". I feel sorry that this has now spread to the neighbouring state of Kerala, where so far religion and politics did not mix. I don't understand why should a senior politician like Vayalar Ravi from a party enjoying national status has to use this term. It is highly disappointing.
