'It is Brahminical arrogance'
by Sampath S on Jun 04, 2007 07:37 PM

I believe, in Guruvayur temple, if an infant or child dirties the place, the premises are cleaned and 'shuddi' is done; and the parents have to pay for it.

The visitors must learn to respect local traditions and must not willingly break the rules. Recently, three no hindu foreigners entered the Puri temple (they did it knowingly).

Since Nr. Ravi has faced a similar problem earlier with the temple authorities, he could have avoided the bitter experience and subsequent vitriolic attacks, by approaching the temple authorities.

Even for a simple meeting, you have to take permission from local police and politicians.
