If one believes that GOD is omnipresent, then that person wouldn't care to worship GOD only in temples. For that person, GOD is same everywhere - be it his home, temple, or in his own heart. So, a person with this world-view wouldn't complain about temples. Now, we all know that temples (or other places of worship) are structures built and maintained according to certain rules (called aagama shaastra). It is the purity given by these rules that gives a special strength and power to the temple; that's the reason why only certain temples attract huge crowds. Now, not all temples are built according to the aagama shaastra. It is only a very minority of them that are built and maintained like this. Guruvayoor is one. So, those who believe that temples have special healing powers, should obey the rules set by them. As an ordinary citizen, we don't have powers to question these rules. They are set by a community who have been given the powers to do so. Only they have the rights to modify it.
Do we question the rules laid down by foriegn countries for issuing VISA? Do we question the rules laid down for traffic? Admission for IITs/IIMs? Every 'system' has rules. These rules are laid down to protect the system. If we want to be part of the system (and benefit from it), we have no option but to obey it.
