the numbers
by illusion of me on Feb 06, 2007 02:25 AM

so whatcha tellin me is, during a dry season, no matter what TN shud be getting 419tmcft?
even if there isnt a grey cloud in sight on top of KAR?
cauvery flows equally in both the states. TN has acatchment area of its own which is regualrly feeded by he monsoons. So apart from that TN demands another 192 tmcft regularly and if its catchment area does not have enough, fill it up with KAR's share, disregarding KAR's farmer's suicides. illogical and absurd.

if we pay for ur electricity...u pay for our water!!

r u sharing the revenues that you are getting from the madras port or for that matter tirupati devasthana. ur absurd logic of 'just because a river is born in the state, it does not give any rights to the state', is kind of skewed, considering tirupati devasthana.
