One can say the same for almost all past leaders from times immemorial. From Roman emperors to Popes to Muhammad to Caliphs, to the British, Spanish, French, Belgian, Dutch, Portuguese, Italian colonists. To Russians to Greeks. Even to Bush. Yet we recognise their achievements as time passes. It stems to one thing alone - recognition and adulation only for the Victor. Had Hitler won the war he would have been noted in a different light. Like Genghis Khan perhaps.
