I would like to add, hardly any muslim or secular leader
worth a name condemned the Ghodra burning (immediately), that would have lessened the feelings. Just as you find now that hardly any muslim leader is condemning the attrocies in Malyasia. This kind of gestures though not of much use, helps to bring down tension. Just after the Kar-Sevaks were burned in Godhra, secular leader started calling them thugs. Though I cannot support the Godhra aftermath, but I think secular leaders and muslim leaders also added fuel to fire.
