Indian Nuke research in US pincer-grip
by Chakravarthy Muralidhar on Aug 16, 2007 01:00 PM

The US think-tank is exposing the real design of the deal, albeit in discrete flashes! At the same time it tries to, once again in a language full of conceit, 'assert' the superiority of US's position as the 'giver' in the deal and India as the 'receiver'!! Note the tone and tenor of the assertion, "No doubt US Congressional monitoring of the construction and implementation of the new dedicated reprocessing facility will be necessary to ensure that no corners are cut"! The think tank knows too well that the Indian offer of "building a brand new, state-of-art reprocessing facility" was an absolutely un-turndownable offer as India has one of the most advanced reprocessing technologies developed all by herself! As Dr.AN Prasad put it "the US will certainly have a good look at it" as none of the five reprocessing plants presently operating in the world are open to inspection by IAEA or under surveillance of other countries. The technology employed by each is a tightly held secret of that country. In fact, the Yankees are dying in curiosity to peep into India's nuke kitty!
Ultimately the US's objective is to pitch India into conflict situations in its geo-political adventures around the world in general and the Asia and middle-east in particular.
