Anybody who is still sticking to the Gandhian philosophy is living in a fool's paradise. Nobody could have greater regard for what he achieved without violence then. But guess what! If he walks in front of terrorists today demanding they stop, or he won't eat, they will take out a machine gun and raze everyone to the ground. If we want to return to that era, then we must stand up, not sit down like cowards and take this.
