Give suggestions instead of rhetoric
by SI on Jul 13, 2006 08:11 AM

Saisuresh seems to be playing for the gallery.A highly spirited blood boiling article, but that is it,the article sadly lacks any specific suggestion, other than a generalised "we should act strong" slogan.
Point No:1.America went to war,but that did not stop terrorists from orchestrating attacks there.I saw in another article that just last week,a plot to blow up the tunnels between NJ and Manhattan was discovered and defused. So,the 'strong action' has not scared terrorists from attacking US.

Point No:2.Why US did not attack Pakistan?Half the terrorism in the world would have stopped if they did that.Didn't the US know that if they control Pakistan, they can dismantle a large portion of terrorist network? The fact is Pakistan is not a rollover like Afghan or Iraq. The same with N.Korea.In India's case,it is more or less sure that the attacks has its origin from Paki. What can we do?Nuke Karachi?

Point No:3.Why is it that everyone in the street want to our govt to 'act strong',but successive govts. hadn't?Is it because we selectively elect cowards as our leaders? Is it because the parties don't want the votes of the mass majority who wants strong action?
