The author is naive in thinking that the American response curbed terrorism. America never faced much terrorism in the past. There was no major terror attack after the first world trade center bombing.
The war the America started is fostering enemies for the US across the globe and has not solved anything.
If anything, India should learn lessons from the mistakes made by the US and respond appropriately.
Britain did nto go to war after the attacks there, neither did Spain. THe Bush administration used the attacks as a pretex to go to war with Iraq. Nothing majestic about that.
