I think the arguements in this article are valid, However the author is missing a key point - US is a developed nation i.e. its got the money it needs to sustain and wage war on other countries. India is a nation that is trying to move forward economically, but waging war will bring us back.
I also agree that sometimes you need to take two steps back and one forward..but war can suck any hope of being economically stable out. All the benefit that IT has done for india will be for nothing, as most companies will pull out of India if the nation is at war.
I hate to see Indian politicians being complacent about this attack and all others. I was one of the many who wanted India to go to war with pakistan at the time of Kargil, but on the other hand I fear for our country if it does. I also believe that if we do, we might be pushed back as far as progress goes but we will bounce back in due time.
