Indo-US agreement
by Prakash on Aug 28, 2006 12:28 PM

Mr. Prasad, you are right.
We cant be a colony of US.
We have not won freedom for nothing.
Now US cant be given status of colonial king.
If US is for democracy, and has looked up to India on this, then they could behave and expect better functioning.
Are they wanting colonisation because they are feeling diffident of the world and USA`s control nay existence ?
Lets be human.
Lets foster democracy, especially since Indian democracy has sustained thus far very well.
Does US think that India`s finger on the nuclear button is not safe ?
Let them remember that this is the land of the GANDHI, BUDHA, VINOBHA BHAVE, RAMAKRISHNA PARAMAHAMSA, VIVEKANANDA, RAJAGOPALACHARI, RADHAKRISHNAN etc., just like the US is the land of the LINCOLN, LUTHER KING and many such greats.
A few hawks that the US sees in India are IN A MINISCULE MINORITY and vanishing if not already vanished.
Also India and Indians salute US for such forthrightness in the past and expect any other behaviour/attitude as a surprising digression/deteriration of lofty principles on which the great USA is based.
FREEDOM, EQUALITY, and JUSTICE are the tenets that shine in the `STARS AND STRIPES`, not anything else.
