the government is not coming with correct position.THe revenue eaned by central and state govts in the last five years to be revealed.The profit earned by oil companies in the last five years also to be revealed. The percentage of increase of revenue on account of taxes on petrol is to be analysed. The quantum of revenue on taxes on pertrol is to be stagnated and the consumers to be saved.The government should look for alternative source of revenue instead of taxing heavily on petrol.Can the govt say how much taxes they get on each litre of petro. LET them come with all these facts>Let them not cheat the people. The left"s protest is also an eyewash.
