dear kabeer, All affected farmers are subsistence cultivators, i.e.till their land for their usage& livelihood, a few hundred people. They can never become rich by tilling. The farmers also know this.CPM leaders know this., and agreed for transfer of this land for Industry. Do not compare stadia in Mumbai, as it is better to leave them as they are, instead of multi storeyed bldg complexes, which need power & water resources, million times more than just two stadia.
