the theory of economics clearly says that more the quantity less is the effective quality. if at all the indian govt decides to go for more iits it must set standards before they convert the nits to iit otherwise the case will be same as that of roorkee,guwahati.Roorkee which was coverted to iit in 2001 is far behind in consideration with the other iits the other five iits. i hope that the govt looks at improving the standards of the newly formed iits than going for extra ones.
